At Monday’s hearing, the Senate Appropriations committee placed SB 391 (DeSaulnier, D- Concord) in the suspense file. The California Homes and Jobs Act would create 29,000 jobs and generate approximately $500 million annually, dedicated to the creation of affordable homes. It is common for bills with a fiscal impact to be placed on suspense. The Appropriations Committee has until May 24th to decide to move the bill to the Senate floor for a vote.
